I use this rack on a 2000 VW beetle with a spoiler. Figuring out how to use it was easy, the only thing is that on the beetle you can only hook the bottom strap to the bottom lip of the trunk forcing you to mount the rack a bit high. Mounting the rack high puts it at a high angle and the bike closest to the car will touch the back window with a peddle. I just wrap that peddle with a small towel and secure it with a small bungee. Another small gripe is that rack wobbles a little no matter how tight the straps. I am not sure if this is due to the shape of the car or the fact that there are only three straps. Could be both I guess. I would also recommend the cross-bar adapter if you have a women's bike or any other irregular framed bike. It really makes a difference on the stability of the rack.
