I recently changed tow-vehicles for my 30-foot travel trailer. I installed this brake controller on the new vehicle, because I left my old brake controller with the old vehicle when I turned it in. I was expecting a $100 for the controller, and a $100 install from my service center. However I found this, and love the fact that it displays voltage to the trailer brakes. My old controller was just a dial, and you had to adjust every time you hitched up. With this one I know now that I really want to be at about 6 volts when fully applied.
I also took advantage of a deal amazon.com was offering at the time with a discount for signing up for their credit card.
I wound up with a brake controller for somewhere in the neigborhood of $20, and easily installed it myself (I'll post pictures shortly) when I was expecting it to cost $200 installed, and I got a much better brake controller than what I left on my old tow-vehicle (now I'm glad I left that one on the old truck! :) )Get more detail about Reese Towpower 74378 Pilot Brake Controller.
