I bought these straps because I lost one piece of my Mako rack strap system. I ended up finding the Mako-specific piece where I'd misplaced it, but these straps are great to have even if you use your rack-specific straps. You never know when you'll need to secure an extra kayak, other outdoor gear, etc, or make up for a lost or broken strap.
