Hella Twin Tone Horn Kit Review

Hella Twin Tone Horn Kit Review
Good price to replace originals that did not work anymore.

Installation was easy on a VW Golf.

I had to make some adapter cables, so won't fit right on, but simple enough.

Maybe louder than originals, but I would not want to pay to replace originals with these (too similar). Great candidate to replace dead horns however.

Hella HLA-H83140221: H4 12V 130/100W Yellow Star Off Road Use Review

Hella Model 500 Clear Cover Review

Hella Model 500 Clear Cover Review
works good for rocks and sticks but due to the gap between light and cover thy collect mud and dirt between them, tough to install and why are the rubber bumpers off center? Had to peel off and re apply in center, after turning the red/orange color of Carolina clay I took them off and tosed because can not clean, I will buy the grilles next time
These work well. The rubber bumper was off center on both of mine hence the 4 stars.

Hella 002395031 Vision Plus 165mm H4 High/Low Beam Conversion Headlamp Review

Hella 002395031 Vision Plus 165mm H4 High/Low Beam Conversion Headlamp Review
Note that these are only DOT approved on motorcycles. If DOT is a concern, then get the Hella HB2 7" headlights. These lights won't be quite as good as the H4s, but it would still be a major improvement over sealed-beam.

I installed these on a 1988 Suzuki Samurai, replacing almost new Sylvania Halogens. They install exactly like a sealed-beam headlight, and the sealed-beam electrical connector fits the Hells' H4 bulb connections.

I had remembered the Sylvania halogen sealed beams as being exceptionally good, but this was in comparison to conventional sealed beams on a '73 Toyota Corolla. The halogens were a revelation at the time, but I've been exposed to better headlights since, and I'm sure Sylvania is using the same tooling that they used 20 years ago, which is a lot of use and wear over the years. Suffice to say, the Sylvania sealed beam halogens were ok, but not what I had remembered.

I decided to find some E-Code 7" headlights and knew that Hella has a good reputation. I went ahead and ordered them and they arrived a few days later. I installed them last night, after finding some H4 bulbs. Note; these headlights do not come with bulbs. If you order them, order some EDOT Sylvania Silverstars or something similar as well. I installed Sylvania Xtravision DOT bulbs, but would have ordered the EDOT Silverstars had I known.

When compared to the Sylvania halogen sealed beam headlight, the Hella has a much sharper cut-off on the low-beam, and a noticeably brighter beam. The sharper cut-off means that you will be throwing less glare at oncoming drivers, and allows one to aim the headlights more accurately.

Also, the high-beam on the Hella is closer to the low-beam than the sealed-beam headlight. This allows one to make less of a compromise when aiming the headlights for most effective low or high-beam. The spread is still too wide though, which means that a compromise must be made.

I do wish that Cibie E-Code headlights were as easily available as the Hellas, because, from my research, the Cibies give an optimal spread between low and high-beam, and also give a wider footprint of light than the Hellas.

These Hellas are a marked improvement on DOT Halogen Sealed-beams though, so at least I have much better lighting, while I search for a supplier of Cibies. I have found several, but none have responded to my enquiries yet.

Also, from my research, the cheaper 7" H4 headlights are not worth the money. You want Hella or Cibie, with Cibie preferred.

Hella 005750991 500 Series 12V/55W Black Magic Halogen Driving Lamp Kit Review
These lights are great they look as good turned off as they do on. I would recommend anyone who is wanting driving lights to buy these.
Great looking lamp both with the cover on and off. I haven't actually got the lights to work yet. Instructions are OK I guess I've just been too lazy to try and find the right wires under the hood.
