So I threw some of these in my 300zx, and man, they're crispy. They aren't 'brighter' per say, but they are MUCH cleaner as for as illumination. This does make it easier to see further out, but I don't think the lumens are different (OEM). As far as them burning out quickly, idk, but I have a really good idea that most of these people reviewing any of these halogens probably don't realize you can't touch the bulb.... it ruins them because of the oils. There really isn't much of a 'blue tint' that some reviewers are talking about- there is somewhat of newton circles on the film, but you can only see it under artificial sunlight (CFLs and florescents), but i doubt this has much to do with the crisp output- it just seems to be a more pure light imo.
