I used to work for a small independent moving company and we used ratchet straps on a very regular basis. These are some of the better straps I've used. They have rubber pads on both the ratchet handle and the release making them more friendly to use without gloves. They stay tight and have come in very handy for tying down large awkward loads in the bed of my truck, refrigerator, washer dryer, flooring, trees, bushes, etc....
Only thing to be aware of is that the hooks are a doubled up piece of @ 3/8" steel so they're a little wide. Not always easy to fit into other hooks and tie down cleats.
